Client Overview:

At one of the world's largest social media platforms, ensuring user safety through effective content moderation is a top priority.

Approach:

Recognizing the need for a unified solution, I spearheaded an initiative to create a single source of truth for content moderation. This involved defining the problem clearly, engaging key stakeholders, and designing a system that would bring consistency to the moderation process.

Collaborative Design: Partnered with global operations leaders and vendor teams to identify gaps in the existing process and develop a new, streamlined quality measurement system.

Comprehensive Engagement: Conducted interviews with vendor representatives across multiple markets to understand diverse perspectives and ensure the solution was inclusive and robust.

Iterative Development: Piloted the new system, gathering feedback and refining processes to ensure effectiveness before a global rollout.

Strategic Launch: Rolled out a comprehensive global launch plan, backed by continuous support and a feature backlog for ongoing improvements.

Outcome:

The initiative led to the successful launch of a quality measurement system that standardized content moderation practices across the globe. This system impacted over 40,000 external users and 1,000 internal users, significantly enhancing the consistency and accuracy of content decisions. By establishing clear benchmarks and introducing a dispute resolution process, we improved moderation reliability and strengthened the platform's safety protocols.
